ELP’s Visit to Commissioner For Education

With the roll-up banner of the BOS Education Transformation Plan 2020 in her view and a governor that asks; have we done enough?, Mrs. Folashade Adefisayo is always prepped for work; as another day to make it better.

A demanding day, but the Honorable Commissioner still had time to attend to Environmental Lagos Platform at around 4.30pm.

She talked about how the Ministry of Education rose to the COVID disruption by fast-tracking one of their improvisation projects.

We discussed impact of EKO Excel, plans for the harmonized timetable for schools, the commendable gesture of the governor on the payment of 1 billion Naira for WAEC fees and how this administration is looking at how to do more.

Her recommendation of experiential teaching as part of the  panacea to the malaise of society’s negative influence on education was in line with previous statements made by ELP on the impact of role models in education.

The visit was rounded up with an appeal to Lagosians to put a priority on education, especially as the government is seeking more ways to make it amenable and inclusive, with optimal output…
