The transportation scene in Lagos is; most times; volatile and chaotic. Thrust a new SA; Transportation into that, and it is swarm season with a lot of expectations.

In the midst of that hectic schedule, and with barely 2 weeks on his docket, Hon. Sola Giwa met with Environmental Lagos Platform

There was a throng, but we made the time count. We went quickly into talks, and the SA, Transportation showed the appointment might be new, but he was not new to the sector.

Armed with his role as the SA, LASTMA Affairs; during Fashola’s administration and as a vibrant member of the team that resolved the Apapa gridlock, he was ready to bring positive improvement.

We traded data on transport management issues, and found similarities in what ELP has collated and what Hon. Giwa has.
This made the obvious next step to be; actions

The SA, Transportation assured Lagosians; he would be looking into the issues, with the aim of fair resolutions, that would be beneficial to all parties
He also promised improvement in operations, across board, commensurate with the Greater Lagos vision

Hon. Sola Giwa commended Environmental Lagos Platform’s zeal and passion; and noted our efforts as a partner in progress.

We assured him of our drive to make Lagos better and thriving; as the centre of excellence, and we concluded by a joint appeal to Lagosians; to be law-abiding on transport management matters.
