Yesterday morning, a cart pusher kidnapped a two-year old boy, around the UBA bank(along Owutu-Isawo Road) Agric, in Ikorodu, in a sack. He was reportedly apprehended around Jayeola Street along that same road (about a kilometre from the location of the kidnapping). The child who was barely breathing was rescued by observers who noticed some movements in the sack he was carrying.

Items recovered from him included a large sums of money, cutlass and a mobile phone. He was taken to the Owutu-Isawo Police Station. Our correspondent, said one of the police officers at the station said, the guy should have been lynched instead of bringing him to the station alive.

Interestingly the mother of the little boy who was kidnapped was never aware of the whole incident, even hours after it had taken place
